    hi everyone i used to own a 1970 2 dr comet and i would like to find another one to fix up does anyone know of any?:huh:

    i dont think theres a such thing as a 70 comet. the maverick looking comets started in 71 i believe

    yes there is a 70 comet it was actually considered a 71 by many but the title i had was for a 70 and the manufacturer plate in the door had 70 very very hard to find but thet exist

    1972 Maverick Grabber - Color: Orange Also, 1976 Ford Maverick 4-door, 1977 Mercury Comet 2-door.
    No such thing as a 1970 Comet. Didn't start until 1971 model year. Could have been BUILT in 1970...but would still be titled as a 1971.

    First of all, welcome to the board! :Handshake
    Craig is correct. No such thing as a 70 Comet. The vin sticker could say 10/70 but all car models are introduced the year before so it's very common for people to see their vin sticker and think that.

    the comet i had was titled as 1970 and the metal plate on the door jamb also read 1970

    i found the mercury comet i used to have needs tlc but still in decent condition going to nc to tow it back to kentucky in about two weeks. will need to purchase part and accessories for it anyone that has some keep me in mind thanks
