just bought a 1970 mav. 6cyl./auto with 70,000 orig. miles for my daughter and it runs great! would like information on where to get the shelby taillights / spoiler. she wants to make it a mad max clone (yes I know it isn't a maverick). I have a 351W/c6 to put into it also. I love the ideas you guys are putting up on this forum. Looking forward to coming out to a show when we are done with it. Todd Finley
Welcome to the board. Looks like a great car to start with. Is the key in the dash or in the stearing column? 351W will fit but a shock tower mod will make it easier to get at the plugs. While the C-6 will work, a C-4 is just as good if not better. Uses less power to work. And if i'm not mistaken the 70 has a smaller tranny tunnel. If you have a 5 lug with disc brakes, somebody already swapped it in. Good luck with it.
If the keys had been in the dash it would have been a 69.5. they were all listed as 70's. I'm in Az. City, Just South of Casa Grande. I know there's also another member from Lake Havasu on here.
