The 91 mustang should work, the late 80's early 90's still had a cable operated speedo and the VSS.

The Original cable also fits the T-5. The Gears however may need to be changed to match the rotation and gear ratio. Ford used the same speedo cable ends and gears from the late 50's (guessing here) to the end of mechanical speedos.

I thought even the manual EFI cars used the Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) to set fuel parametors. If not what he said, just change to a T-5 gear.

You have to be sure with the automotive Toploader. Some of them have the speedometer pickup on the wrong side for a Maverick and the gear has a reverse bevel on the gear. The one for the early (65-66) Mustang was on thr drivers side but some of the other ones were on the passenger side.

Some of the Torino have the opposite side speedo cables and the Galaxie units are, but these had the long tailshaft.
