I did a search and that is why i am here....:yup:
i read and read (and a few phone calls) and i could not find a set that just bolts in.
when i looked at mine ,the shackle has 3/8" bolts...everyone else has 1/2" bolts.:yup:
...my springs are...JCW 4/leaf...my bolts have beaten through the bushings....may be from the bolts being too small... A/K shackle kit for maverick... i am going to take them apart tomorrow and size up everything. may have to get new shackles and bushings.

...anyone get any bushings that didn't have to be ...made...to fit?

    Frank...:Handshake

That thread for me was only half the story. THe MUstang ones did not fit either. Frank & I talked about this yesterday. Stock Maverick springs have a 15/16" eye and the shackles are 1/2" diameter. The set of 4 leafs I bought from JCW came with 1 1/8" spring eye. I ended up having to buy the only set of 1 1/8" bushings I could find. THe shoulders were too wide and the shackle hole was 3/4". I had to cut the shoulders down and ended up getting some 3/4" aluminum round stock and boring a 1/2" hole in it to make a bushing for the shackle stud. Post 19 on this thread shows what I did. http://mmb.maverick.to/showthread.php?t=33524&page=2

The second set of 4 leafs I bought from JCW for my Comet came with the correct size eye.

got mine from jc whitney last month. everything fit perfect , rear bushings only had 34 k on them and shackles too so I just reused them.

How odd! I just bought a set from ESPO and they're 1" OD, 1/2" ID, and fit my stock springs perfectly. Wonder why aftermarket springs would have different sizes???
