water pump bolts

    1974 2 door 302 Maverick, 1996 monte carlo z34, 1998 Chevy K1500 4x4 350 .30 over, 1979 cobra mustang 306 with a t5
    This isn't really maverick related, but are 68 289 water pump bolts the same as 88 302 ho water pump bolts

    yes and no , the 88 would have stud bolts to mount all the ugly serpentine crap. I eliminated the serpentine junk and run 289 bolts with the 71 up waterpump . problem with early pulleys and the h.o .balancer is that they don,t line up about 3/4 out too far because of the balancer. with alot of fabrication , it worked out.but more importantly, what kind of front setup are you using??
