    Hello,

The question has can be already been composed, but I do not find...

    When you made a draining:

1°) What type of oil do you use?

2°) What do you change? Oil filter, essence filter etc...

3°) What type of detail do you put? Oil filter K&N etc...

4°) What is the quantity of oil in a crankcase of 302CI?

Thank you in advance for your answers...;)

    1. use any oil that meets the specs for your engine and is easily available to you.

    2. Oil and filter are changed together when the oil is changed. Other filters are changed with tune-ups.

    3. not sure what you mean here - can you explain it a bit more?

    4. 5 quarts of oil in the crankcase - (with filter)

I think he means brand name etc. for #3. I alway's use Motorcraft FL1A filter and 10W30 Valvoline oil. It seem's to cling to bearings and internal part's longer, even if sitting idle for long periods of time.

You want to use a non synthetic oil, anything from 10W-30 to straight 40 to 20W-50 weight will do. Heavier weight oils for higher mileage (kilometers over there?) engines. This helps to keep the oil pressure up with looser bearing tolerances that are typical with high mileage. Brand is up to you on oil and filter, use what you feel is the best for you over there. Preferably an oil that has a high zinc content to protect the cam and lifters (only if it's got a flat tappet cam, with a roller you can go straight synthetic) Change the oil filter each time you change the oil. Change the air filter too each time if you drive it in dusty conditions, otherwise change that once a year, unless you have a K&N filter, then just clean the K&N once a year. The PCV valve needs to be cleaned at least once a year, just remove and pour a little gasoline in it, with your thumb over the bottom, shake well and pour the gas out. Repeat if the gas comes out dirty, and then till it comes out clean. Stock 302 holds 5 U.S. Quarts including the oil in the filter. Drain the oil, replace the filter, pour in 5 quarts, start the engine, verify the filter doesn't leak, pressure comes up properly. Kill the engine, check the oil level on the dipstick. Add more only if neccessary.

Yes, I wanted to know the marks of oil filter which you use...

Thank you for all your answers, you would have a plan or one photos of the place where is situated the filter with essence?

    Thank you in advance.:thumbs2:

Not sure what you mean by "essence filter" A stock Maverick had three filters, oil and air plus a PCV filter in the air cleaner assembly.

Yea, maybe that's what he's talking about. Forgot that one. I just assumed they called gasoline, "Petrol" like the Brits.
