Well guys and gals ,i droped the rear bumper and rear lower valance so i could drop the gas tank. The gas tank was custom lined buy Todd the ex owner with some high tech jet fuel liner ,so the gas tank is now a fuel cell. I droped the fuel cell so i could install a second 15 lb NOS bottle in the trunk that i will tie the two bottles together with a high preasure check valve(good to 1200 psi ) so i can run both bottles by them selves or together. Todds best time was 10:41 1/4 mile with a 100 hp shot ,im going to try a 200 hp short and try to get into the high 9 sec. Im going to run the car on race gas on the August 2 nd and 3 rd weekend to get a feel of it then in sept for the all ford weekend at Mission raceway im going to do a 100 shot and a 200 shot ,wish me luck ,ill keep you posted. cheers Outlaw Jimmy2gtates P.S the original owner(Bob Inks) who built the engine will be comming up from the states to race his new 1200 hp mustang on both dates August 2-3 and the all ford weekend in Sept and said he will be thrilled to help tune the engine for Maximum proformance on both weekends

You have checked Mission's rules haven't you. It is an NHRA track. Therefore the NHRA rules apply. If you go faster than 10 seconds you need to have the car certified and you also need to be licensed by the NHRA to go that fast. I just don't want you to run that fast and be told not to do it again. Also maybe this gives you the time you need to get things done. Good luck.:thumbs2:

Thanks Don ,oh well i quess ill have to be happy with a 10:01 1/4 mile time and not get into any trouble or have to be re-certified ,that just means more roll cage and im not going to go there .I promise a bunch of pics of the finished ride in the next two weeks,i can promise its going to look great . cheers James

I felt bad telling you that, but I figured better here than at the track. 10 seconds is still a hell of a quick ride.

Make sure that you flow the fuel side of the nitrous system too before upping the jets. You always want to make sure that you have enough fuel volume for the jets that you are running. Otherwise...boom. Not good. But good luck! I hope that you make it!!!

also, remember if you go through TECH, if they ask you what it will run.....do what I do, tell them your hoping for high 13's:p

If you break into the 9's, it will be after the fact then they make you leave :rofl2:

but be safe, cause there is reason's they have them rules, its for your safety!

Or more importantly, the safety of others!

I know that I'd have a hard time living with myself if I hurt someone else.

Hey guys ,im all about being safe for me and others ,10:57 has been done with a 100 shot ,ill see if i can pill it to a 150 shot and hit a real low 10. Ill tell teck im shooting for a very low 10 . Ive still got lots of work to do ,i just got the G3 130 amp alternator today ,ill try to install sat or sunday.Im having the car professionaly wire by a auto electrician,so i can control the two speed electic fan with a toggle switch and a toggle switch to shut off the alternator when i race, hes also going to wire in the electric water pump. Im shooting for August 2nd- 3rd weekend ,if not ill have to settle for the following weekend ,im not going to rush this car befor its ready. cheers James:yahoo:
