Oh I figured Hurst would be a better quality, thing is i'm on a tight budget and just want it to work so price is a factor unfortunatley. I would prefer Hurst if I do aftermarket because I have heard so many good things about them. But what I would really prefer to do is to find a Maverick or Comet that had a factory floor shifter and take that because I know then it would work and I could see how it's installed. I don't want to cut the wrong area or drill in the wrong spot because I will only get one shot at this.. The dimples in the floor everyone refers to don't seem to exist on my car well I take that back there is one on the drivers side (if that is a dimple) towards the seat but thats it.

Anyway the Hurst Shifter at Jegs I was looking at initially was the
Hurst Indy SSA Universal 3-Speed Shifter Seems to be the only one listed there that might work although it lists Ford Full Size which the Mav clearly is not. I was looking at the Hurst Indy 3 Speed over at Summit but that doesn't list Ford as being a make it fits nor does it list my engine.

    Man this is frustrating.

As soon as this heatwave subsides and I get some time I am going to start searching the Junkyards around here, unless of course I find something between now and then. I know the odds of finding anything aren't in my favor though, but for $2 I can search all three Pick N Pull's in this area (thats not counting Gas of course). Right now all options are on the table including getting another 3 spd Column if I can miraculously find one of those I figure I have better odd's of winning the lottery though :rofl2:.

Oh and does engine size even matter when it comes to Floor Shifters? I always thought it was Transmission specific and I know this 3 Speed Tranny was also used behind 302's.
