Well folks ,yesterdays car show made for a long day,so instead of unloading the mav off the trailer saturday nite, i just put the car cover on it and left it still on the trailer till today. I waited half the day for my buddy to show up to help me unload ,he never showed . Whats a guy to do when his wing man doesnt show ,call on your wing WOMAN. I wanted to make sure that the big rear tires were in the rite place so that the skinny pizza cutters were on the ramps when you back off the trailer . I asked Bev to Jump in the mav to back it off the trailer while i guided her down, I COULDNT HAVE DONE A BETTER JOB. Well heres were it gets even better ,i say hey babe put it in neutrel ,flick the electric fuel pump toggle switch ,pump the gas peddle twice and fire her up. You should of seen the smile on here face when that engine flashed up and she was the one behind the wheel. Next was put it in reverse and hit the throddle ,remember bev the high stall torque converter isnt going to engage till 3000 rpm, the engine started to rumble with the big 590 lift cam and Bev backed her into the shop like a PRO. This was Bevs Virgin experiance with this much engine , the smile on her face was from ear to ear and i got to see it . Bev your the only wing woman i need. You did a great job ,i cant wait to see your face when you race it for the first time , love ya ,Thanks for the help. Your handsome man. Jimmy2gates

Well, you might not let her race the car, I did that and ended up having to build another car for me. But I guess since Bev already almost has her own it might be okay.

My car never goes on the trailer without the help of my wife, I can take it off by myself but need her guideance to get it on just right.

My wife just made the team for the Division 6 Finals in Boise in Sportsman class, 3rd year in a row now and I have yet to make it.

We have been married 31 years and it keeps getting better

I have my Wing Woman also. When we take 2 cars to a show & shine, she drives the Comet. She loves the power & looks she gets. I like watching it go down the road. Thanks Baby....

Sarcastic thought from me to you

Dave ,you sound like a grumpy old man ( just like the movie),are you unhappily married or all by yourself. Bev is a member here and i think its nice to encourage are woman because they put up with alot when we (us men) have our toys, taking them to car shows and to the race track . I believe this forum has many familys, wives and children that go along because they want to support what there man likes , im blessed that Bev ( grabbergirl719 )likes both car shows and racing .

Kudos to you Jimmy2Gates, for sharing this experience with us. You're right it is a family affair and I do enjoy it. We have a local cruise here every Friday night and when I go out the wife and 2 of my 4 kids are ready for the outing. We walk around and look at all of the cars together which I think is pretty cool. I have a friend with a 61 Falcon that is tubbed out, my wife got down to look at the size of his rear tires and innocently asked " does it have bite"! Again kudos to you for sharing and "if she likes what you like you most definetly will get a room".:)

I've been with my wife over 20 years, and happily married for 15 years, have 2 kids and live a good life. I'm self employed so I can spend as much time with my family as possible, and if you look at some of the Roundup pictures you will see them there with me, I do what I can with them every chance I get.
I just find it funny how you bumped your own post to your girlfriend, don't you talk to her in person?
