when i installed the T5 in my '71 i had to make a drop bracket (just like the one used w/ P/S cars running headers) and now my left turns are very limited. it will only turn about half the distance that it used to. the bracket itself dropped the cylinder down about 3.5" so could that have anything to do with it? can i adjust the cylinder to compensate?.. because it didnt dot his because the change.... all/any help is appreciated
did you put headers on it Dave??? the pitman arm may be hitting the tubes on left turns.Get under it a look... may have to "releive" a tube with the BFH.good luck.
thats is odd...wonder if anyone has had that problem after putting the drop bracket on for header clearance???Could your clutch cable/set up be interfering with the steering column somehow??I would have to lean towards the cylinder being re-located if all else checks out.
that's kinda what im thinking, maybe i need to relocate the hole slightly upward as far as i can go. as for clearence issues, i dont see any interference anywhere
gotta be the lenght of the drop on your bracket, tyr shortening it up like you mentioned.Wonder what the demension is for the drop bracket for headers???
I used a drop bracket on my 74, and I don't remember any issues, other than it ripped out of the frame rail one night at cruise night
try this... http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=HOK%2D6901HKR&view=8192&N=700+150+4294925080+4294908331+4294908284+4294923429+400390+
What is the difference between the three, Will anyone work. I forget which way but I hit the header when I turn.
nope... these are just for P/S cars that need to drop their P/S cylinder in order to fit headers down by the steering linkage
