I need some sort of insulation for my clutch cable. I had to route the cable down by the headers, just was not long enough to go around.
Something lie this might work http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=THE%2D14010&N=700+115&autoview=sku
Both sounds good. Were can I get shifter boot insulation also. I guess I will need that too now that I have cut a hole in the floor for the stick. I didn't think about that.
"Shifter Boot" insulation??? Did I really say that? I meant to say Spark Plug boot. They are available at most auto parts stores.
Has anyone used a hydraulic clutch set-up on their Maverick? To me that would be the way to go. No more burnt, stretched or broken cable.
I have all the parts that go with a T5 but I got all the parts for the cable 1st, so I started with the cable. If this does work or is problems than I will try the hydraulic way. If the cable works, I will just sell the other stuff. I think you are right though. Cable just needed less parts to work. I did get a firewall adjuster, so maybe that makes a difference.
I waited until I got a list of things to order so witch one you think is the most suitable? Clutch cable is running down next to the shock tower & the header. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=THE%2D14010&N=700+0&autoview=sku http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=THE-18050&N=700+0&autoview=sku http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=THE-17062&N=700+0&autoview=sku
