I am in contact with a fellow who is willing to sell me his Sprint Pinto. The car appears on a U-Tube and photobucket set of pictures to be in very good condition and very original.

It would complete the trio of Sprints for me. I already have a Sportroof Mustang Sprint and Maverick Sprint.

Since I live in Florida, it would be very nice if someone could go look at it for me and give me an opinion as to it's overall condition. Anybody out there who can help me in this matter? Thanks.

Yes buy it because if he sells it to you, I think I have him talked in to buying one of my Mavericks. :yup: We were just with him last night at the Metro cruise in Grand Rapids. He cruised it in and we had a red Maverick out. It seemed to be a nice car, and definitely a complete sprint. It seemed to run well. It was dark and I wasn't looking at it like I was buying it, but I did try to sell it to a few other people passing by that were looking at it. We could probably try to hook up and look at it more critically for you. He seems like a nice guy.

    Sarah,

Small world, isn't it? Did he mention that we had been in contact? As you said, he seems like a nice fellow. When I told I had the other Sprints, he became receptive to selling it to me, it seemed.

It would be great if you could look it over for me. I will get back to you after I talk with him again tomorrow.

Even though I am not a big Pinto fan, it is almost impossible to find a Sprint, and especially one in as good as shape as this one appears to be in. I am pretty excited about the deal. Thanks in advance.

He had mentioned it because you had the other sprints too. I was almost bent out of shape to think there was a sprint Maverick somewhere around locally that I didn't own or know about. It didn't even cross my mind that the person he was talking about was far away.
Let me know what you find out when you talk to him. I am sure he will be up front about things, he doesn't seem like he has anything to hide.
We got some nice staged pictures of the cars in front of Pals diner which is one of the old restored diners from long ago. I am excited to see them. The sprint colors should have looked nice against the neon and silver of the diner at dark. Tell him he has to buy you a picture of it if you buy the car. How would you get the car to FL?

I would probably have it shipped if the cost is not prohibitive. I just got back from an 1800 mile trip to Ky and am not looking forward to turning around and driving nearly twice the distance again, towing a car in the process.

I used A Economy Auto transporters, Inc from West Palm Beach,Fl to transport my black XR7 from San Diego, Ca and my Mustang Sprint from Lebanon, Pa.

    Anybody know any good transporters?

    Well, it's official!

The Sprint Pinto is on the car carrier headed to Florida and should be here Thurs or Friday.

Many thanks to Sarah,Maverick DVM, for her help is checking out the car for me. Perhaps she can forward a link that she sent me showing the car at the cruise they attended together. I can't seem to make it work.

Now, I will have all 3 Sprint models, the Mustang, Maverick, and Pinto in one place.
