headers question

    I just bought a set of header hedman 88300 and just want to know how can I protect them cause the original paint on it just stand there for shipping. so does any body found a paint that stay on or any body got it chrome????

    You are right about the paint on headers, its just there for shipping so they dont rust. I have used VHT silver paint on headers. They were for a VW so I was able to bake them in the oven before I put them on. VHT paint is very soft until it it baked on. The paint needs to cure before it is exposed to max temp.
    I have also used POR 15 exhaust maniflod paint, it seams to work well. I painted a 300six manifold and the paint has stayed on and even looks good.

    ceramic coat them inside and hot. They will last forever and it helps reduce engine bay heat.
