I wonder if anyone would be willing to run some numbers for me on my combo?
I'm sort of having second thoughts about this camshaft I got and wonder how far it will move the powerband up?

I guess I'll need to know all the specs the program asks for.
    Thanks,

Ray, is that a Crane cam? Those are the exact specs I have been running with a Crane solid cam for the last several years.. ScottyP

Hey Ray, Give me your email and I can send you a certain program, cough cough. :) It's about 1.06 megs so make sure you have enough room in your inbox. You'll also need Winzip.

That sounds like a pretty healthy cam. Desktop dyno really likes solid and roller lifters over the hydraulic ones....i didn't run the specs, but i'm sure it will show a 15-25hp increase at least.

    Scotty-
Yep! I bet this is the same crane you're running. pn364681
Got the cam, lifters, springs and retainers new in box on ebay for I think it was $200.00!
The current one is also a crane pn130062

    Rudy-

Please put maverick dyno or something like that in the subject line.
    Thanks!

    CaCollo-
I'm hoping for more of an increase than that since it will make much more use of my heads and compression than the little one in there right now.

    Hey Scotty-

How low are you able to idle? (just curious)

running a predator (old style no idle circuit) a very lopey (sp?) 1000 rpm, with the holley 650dp I ran about 900. Don't look for much vacuum though!! Scotty P

    About what I figured.

Where does it start to come in?
It will be different because of my heads, but at least you can give me an idea.
I'm wondering if my converter is going to be enough?

I have 1965 289 heads with 1.94's and they are ported to an MM of their lives! Still, not AFR's!! I feel the cam at about 2800-3000 rpm. I have a 3000 stall and it flashes at about 2800. With the 4.11's in the rear it is a pretty good combo. I am close to yanking the predator off and can't decide between a demon 750 or holley 750dp.. Scotty P
