    just to chime in.... while the weight is detrimental to RPM, the stock rollers seem to float long before their mass seems to come into play (at least with most of the rode-hard HO's I've drove).

    I have seen two instances (one in Hot Rod and one in MMFF) where they dismantled the OE rollers and gutted the hydralic portion and shimmed them so they would act as solid rollers, doesn't solve the whole problem, but its real close to free if you have the HO around.
