    Nice

I like that style of trucks. I want another one with the 5.0 in it. WE had one, but the tranny was acting crazy. Not bad for 210,000 miles though. Take care of it, and it'll take care of you. Oh, and good eye Russ. Country

I hear lots of folks say that the '93-'96 body styles are the ones to get, especially with a 4.9L straight 6. My brother has a '94 with a 300/5 speed...and I don't believe there's much it won't pull. Mine is a '95 5.0L/5 speed but the 3.08 gears suck! One of these days I'll spring for a set of 3.55's and watch the mileage increase.

those 300s are tough as nails and seem to last darn near forever. They aren't hot rods but like I said..I don't think there's much they won't pull. Too bad they didn't keep it around and use a different head design on it for better performance. I think it would have been cool to see a SOHC or DOHC 24 valve 300 six. That thing would flat out haul!

My 93 F-250 has 180,000 miles on it, and I still drive it every day. I can't say much about how well the engines hold up 'cus mines a diesel. My fenders and the cab started to rust, but my bed is totaly rust free(I can't figure that one out). Smoke 'em if ya got 'em Russ

    Diesel

My buddy has a 91 Power Stroke with the 7.2L (?) Powerstroke Diesel. The truck has over 500,000 miles on it, and is still going. It has been driven HARD too! They are really good trucks! And no, I'm not just telling stories either! :) Country

Well if it's a 91 (and the orinigal engine) it's not a Powerstroke. They didn't make the Powerstroke until late 94. The 91's have the 7.3 ltr (444ci) IDI (Indirect Diesel Injection)non turbo engine. (same as mine) The 7.3 IDI's have a mechanical injection pump and the Powerstroke(Direct Injection) have a computer to control when each cylender gets it fuel. Not trying to bust any chops just wanted to set the facts straight. BTW A powerstoke will out perform a IDI any day. I have two close friends in my truck club. One has a 99 Powerstroke(psd) and the other has a 7.3 IDI. The PSD makes 308 hp and 630 ft/lb tq. while the IDI makes 202hp and 340 ft/lb tq. These were both taken at the rear wheels. Russ

Good deal, Dave. I bought a '91 F-150 4x4 with the 4.9 and 5 speed OD myself in November. Love them F-Series. You'll have to let me know how it tows. I'm going to tow a load myself for the first time with it when I come to Columbus for the swap. I've heard mixed comments about the 4.9s towing ability on ford-trucks.com forums.

    That's a 2wd, isn't it?
