    A 302 is a 5.0...isn't it???? 5.0 is just the metric size.

Contact the member dmhines (Dan Hines). He has a '95 GT Mustang roller motor in his '71 Grabber, and it looks like it came from the factory in there. He can probably tell you every detail of what you have to swap.

im running a '91 5.0 in my car and it was a bolt in.... again, just be sure to use the right flexplate/flywheel for your engine/tranny combination

A '91 5.0 will not bolt into a Maverick exactly as it came out of what ever '91 vehicle it was in. At the very least, you had to change to a front sump oil pan, install Maverick manifolds/headers, and depending on what fuel pump you run, you would have to swap the timing cover, and install what ever water pump corresponds to the pulleys you are using. Also if his car has a manual transmission, the 5.0 will not have the provision on the block for the Z bar pivot. I know you know all of this, but I'm just saying...

yeah, these are clear observations that are very noticeable sitting beside of one another but everything can be used from the old engine onto the new one. i guess what i should have said was that the block will bolt in place of the older block with the proper accessories, brackets and oil pan/pick-up installed. sounds better Jamie? ;)

your going to need a front sump oil pan and pickup tube but your old motor can donate that. and if you want to keep a mechanicalfuel pump your going to need to swap the front timing covers

since you already have a 302 that motor can donate everything youll need except the flexplate

87 to 93 mustang. then all you need to go carb is a intake manifold, carb, distributor with a gear for a roller cam, a front sump oil pan and oil pick up, you will need to use a eletric fuel pump or get different timeing chain cover, fuel pump and fuel pump cam. you will need to make shure that the water pump is the right one for the cover you use. a set of motor mounts for maverick with a 302 will work. to make the t-5 work you will need a aftermarked clutch set up thats either hydrolic or cable. lots of threads on doing a t5 in to the maverick just do a search.
