Hey everyone!! My brother and i just started to do an engine swap and restore our 77' maverick, from the inline 6 to a 351 windsor. This car was my brothers first car, then he went off to college and i recieved my first car. The mav has been sitting for a couple of years but with a battery and a couple shots of starting fluid it fired right up. If anyone has any advise on this engine swap please let us know.

Welcome to the board. It's a direct swap. Just need the frame mounts, belly bar, tranny dual crossmember, and the usual 302 swap parts. If you don't shave the shock towers it'll be a pain to change the plugs. Do you know Dan Reaume from kingman. He lives in Kingman and races in Vegas a lot. Or at Speedworld. He runs a falcon ranchero. Good source for Ford parts up there.:Welcome:

Welcome from another new AZ guy! I just picked up a 6cyl car less motor and trans. What are yout plans for the old motor and trans? I am planning on a 302, but since my son will be the primary driver a 6 may be the way to go for now.
