how hard would it be to go from 150 hp stock 1989 302 to a nice mild 275 hp i already have a 4-v intake, a holley 750 duel feed carb, malory unilite distrbutor, double roller timing chain, high volume oil pump, deep oil pan.
    heads?
    cam?
    headers?
    thanks for the input

you will need a good set of heads to get that power. you cant get enough air in the old stock heads to make that level of power. you could have them ported and biger valves put in but that would cost more that geting some used gt40s. you can find them online all the time for really cheap. then get a nice mild cam. call the cam manifacture you want to use and they can give you the best recomendation as to what cam to use

the would be ok. rember the motor they came on was rated at 225hp from the factory, and thats with a roller cam. the roller factor of the cam is worth approx 25 hp alone, so with those heads, the right cam (what ever the cam builder recomends),a good intake manifold (you said you had a 4v), and headers you should be able to get around 225 to 250 hp.
what brand intake do you have. some 4v intakes are not any thing really special. the best thing i can recomend is to buy a top end package from elelbrock or holey. i know that is more than you want to spend but they are a matched group of parts. the packages usually come with all the little things that you need but dont think about, like gaskets, bolts, and other stuff.
