Can i use this power steering bracket for my steering bracket swap, for my 351w? http://www.jegs.com/i/Patriot+Exhaust/737/H7609/10002/-1
If you have power steering it will relocate the PS ram lower on the frame rail to clear headers. It mounts to the left frame rail. And the ram mounts to it.
I dont think that will work for you unless you have a 5.0 AC set up.that looks like it mounts to the AC bracket I believe to move the P.S. pump higher on the engine.
You need matching brackets. What are you missing, and what do you have already? What brackets are you trying to use with the alternator? Your old 302 brackets? What year engine do you have? Pulleys all need to line up. If you have a 4 bolt crankshaft pulley (not counting the large dampener bolt in the center) means you have a 1970 or later engine. Three bolts on the crankshaft pulley means that you have a 1969 351W.
Well I have a 84 351w with- Summit brand alternator bracket But I'm missing a power steering bracket, i want to reuse my old 250 engine power steering pump bracket.
The 250 bracket wont work... you need a 351 bracket...I may have one, gotta look this weekend.I will let you know...
I was wondering would this work for my windsor steering pump set up, so i can recycle my old 250 steering pump? http://www.pitstopusa.com/detail.aspx?ID=61081
that is for "short deck" engines... your 351 is not a short deck engine.260-302 are what that is for.Allthough ford did raise the deck height on mid 70's 302's you need to find brackets that are 351-W specific. That will not allow you to use your exhisting pump either.Good luck...
Check the for sale section or post a want ad in the parts wanted section.Or hit the local junk yard and see if you can dig one up off a ford pick up mid 80's F250/F350.They had 351 windsors in em.Good luck.
