Ever since I installed my 351w I have noticed a heavy white smoke from the tail pipes. I also noticed I burn through alot of oil in a week. Coolant level seems to stay the same. Does this sound like worn valve seals?

if its oil smoke it would be bluish purple

but if your loosing oil and its smoking you must be burning...

any chance the oil loss is from a leak?

There is never any oil on the ground anywhere I park. The smoke isnt blue that I can see. Looks white to me. The oil is going somewhere and it's driving me insane. I bought some royal purple and I cant use it until this issue is resolved.

pull your spark plugs and see what they look like

Does it allways smoke or only cold/hot??? If you only drive it short distances, condensation build up could explain the smoke but not the oil consumption.Do you have a PCV valve on the engine and is it in good working order.
How much oil loss are you experiencing over X amount of miles and or days of usage.
An expensive experiment would be to put a cheap synthetic oil in it and see if the smoke decreases or goes away.Synthetics dont smoke as much as dino juice.

If your loosing oil and it isnt on the ground...the engine is ingesting and burning it.

I thought blue smoke was due to broken piston rings. Oil could be coming from a bad gasket, right?

Yes its blue/grey depends on level of contamination.A bad intake gasket can cause the engine to suck oil into the intake ports and then into the chamber where it gets burned.Bad head gaskets(usually but not allways accompanied by colant loss).A piston ring does not have to be broken for oil to get past it...worn out will do it,along with bad valve giudes/seals and a plethora of other things which cause engines to consume oil.

I looked at a spark plug the other day and it had oil on it. Does smoke all the time. I am using about a quart every 2 days.

Sounds like you have bad rings or bad valve guides/seals.I would lean towards rings, guides usually only pump oil under acceleration or a cold start.Time to do a compression test and check all the plugs for oil contamination.Make sure your PCV valve isnt stuck, that will cause the engine to suck oil too.May want to check for a bad intake gasket as well.

    check PCV valve...
then i would do a... compression check ...
if that's OK... pull the valve covers and... check valve guide seals...
    if that's OK...pull intake...and check the...intake gasket.
i think it is a little late in this engines life (95k) for... royal purple .

So I guess I probably need a whole valve job done on it. Pcv valve is new by the way installed it a month ago. Checked it anyway and its good.
