What could these pictures be? Why, it's no other than our well known member BLUGENE inspecting my PINTO gas tank, after we removed it this past Tuesday, and a shot of the car on his trailer (which made a wonderful "lift" under which to work). It was a beautiful 70+ degrees day, and we trailered the car down to his shop and pulled the tank, since it was leaking. You gotta give the guy credit - he was willing to "lower his standards" and help a fellow car nut in need. THANKS GENE.... Chris
I should have never sold my 71 pinto with the 331 stroker in it,, It was a fun car to drive,, and was a chic magnet,,, Baby blue,
Thanks Chris. Maybe next time we can factor in some time to go to Furr's. I was hungry when I got home.
How did you fix the gas tank? We used to soldier steel patches on with a big soldiering iron. It worked very well. Now we just replace them.
Have not fixed it yet. THinking one of those POR-15 epoxy patches or something such. What size soldering iron? Or were you kidding - I imagine you brazed the patches on? Chris
Nah, I snapped the pic while he was busy at it. I don't think he was trying to hide anything..... Chris
