new front and rear sway bars?

    do new sway bars in the front and rear help handling and body roll a lot. i'm getting my tax return and wanna get the most bang for my buck...if there definitely worth the money i'll get them...thanx in advance :bananaman:bananaman:bananaman

    The sway bars (get them in a set) will keep the car from leaning through the corners.
    They put more load on the tires which make the car handle better. To add to the suspension the next steps would be heavy duty 50/50 shocks (unless you drag race) and the "Shelby Drop" performed on your upper control arm mount)
    If you have difficulty with your brakes then a disk conversion would be the natural step.

    Yes. As far as I know, ADDCO is the only manufacturer of sway bars for Mavericks and Comets.

    15/16" front sway bars are easy to find used.

    $12-15 at U-Pullit Junk yards.

    Many Granada and Monarch cars had the 15/16" front sway bars.

    They Front sway bars are all the same for years on Ford and Mercury.
    The only problem is when you get into the big block cars with Mustang and Cougars. Certain ones rub on the harmonic balancer.
