    It will fit but it is wider.

    Not with out some work. It's easier, and better to just buy one of the aftermarket kits.

    The Stang 2 rear will bolt right in. Same spring pad spacing.
    There are 2 problems though...

    1: The rear is usually a weak 8" rear with even weaker small bearings and axle tubes.

    2: They all have 4 lugs which are already generally considered undesireable, then to top that off, they have a different bolt pattern than a 4 lug Maverick rear.

    If you find a rear in one of those cars that has a 'posi' or gear ratio that you want/like, then just swap the chunk into your Maverick 8" housing. 4 or 5 lugs, doesn't matter, the chunks all swap.
