Last night I was driving through the Chrysler car lot and saw a new Crossfire up close. The grill caught my eye!

Does anyone have their Maverick near by that they could measure their grill? My Maverick is at my Dad's body shop about an hour away and I won't see it until next weekend. (Dad's on vacation right now so, I can't ask him)

I'm looking for the measurements top to bottom and side to center (at the point) Left to center then center to right.

I think the Crossfire would be a real close fit. If you look at the picture link I've posted, the horizontal bars could use a little trimming to fit but left to right is my biggest question.

Thanks for anyone who can measure it up... I'm dying to find out... don't think I could wait a week.

Even if it did fit...I bet it would be $200 to $500 for that grill.

I really doubt that grill would fit.

Thanks for that link but that picture was on here a few weeks ago.

The grill on the Crossfire would have to be trimmed down from top to bottom to fit. The three horizontal bars alone looked very close as though it "Might" fit.

The custom work would have to be done with the virtical bars. There is a thick bar in the center and 4 more thin bars (2 on each side of the center).

I agree with you Craig, it wont be cheep.

That would be a neat grill I completely agree. But I personally like the completly custom built. I'm planning on giving a shot at fabricating one myself.

not 100% sure yet. I was considering building a few and just interchanging them. The grills seem like they can just pop in and out with a few skrews. I'm thinking of just alumninum flat bar , 1" wide, and about ,5" apart... and just fill up the gril that way probably cut in the middle... somthing simaler to what a few other people have on here.

I also have a few other ideas... just sorta hard to type out my thoughts with out them sounding like just a bunch of ramble

    I'm gonna....Step on some toes....

.....I think custom grills are tacky.

I have a right to say that, yell if you like, it's still
    tacky.

to each their own I guess, not everyone likes the same thing.

Everyone is free to have their own likes and dislikes... that's what is so great about building a car the way you want... just that... "The Way You Want"

I'm not picking or snapping back at anyone. So, please don't take it that way. I grew up around a Body Shop and have been around alot of Custom Hot Rods. I just see a "New School" part on a car and I wonder how or if it would work on older cars. I would REALLY love to build a Custom Maverick after my current one is done.

    There is a point....

...in which a well designed custom fits and accents the
vehicle without looking like those rolls royce grills on
    a VW Bug.

There is a guy who posted some pics here, a friend of
Hackmann's. It was a slight variation with rounded lights.

If the car is modified in more ways than just a grill change,
it can work-in my eyes. I think Hackmann is working on
a complete custom front view with integrated spoilers
and various other pieces. That looks good to me.
It looks a lot better than a cut it yourself tube grill held
in with sheet metal screws on an otherwise stock appearing
car. I rank that right up there with the stainless steel
flamed inserts that I see so often on Ford/Chevy truck
    grills.

    My $2 worth.
