    Here is a pic of it in the car, they are not wired up and the mechanicals are not run but that will be done in the morning

    looks pretty good. i would make sure you can see the oil and water gauges w/o trying to see around the steering wheel. just a thought:)

    Stewart Warner..........the only one the I will have any trouble seeing is going to be the volts gauge, I am going to switch the fuel and volts so the fuel will be very easy to see, believe it or not I can see them without having to move my head at all, just roll my eyes down and I can see them clear as day

    Well once again I am stuck :mad: I was very excited to go down to the shop today and get them all done so I could at least bring my baby home. I got the hole drilled in the firewall and finally found a rubber grommet, then it was time to run the temp sensor and the oil pressure line. Well I got all the wires hooked up on the back of the volts and fuel gauge, and the tubbing for the oil pressure gauge. Then went out under the hood to put the temp sensor into the intake and guess what it want fit :cry: So I started looking for a bushing and have yet to find the size that I need. Trying to keep form having and 6 inch tall brass post coming out of the intake....I guess there is always tomorrow :mad:

    Missing my old '70 Maverick
    Any auto parts should have a small plastic bag of adapters for you. Just tell them what you need it for.

    No biggy (hopefully).

    a lot of people don't think of this for auto fittings but ace hardware has a great supply of fittings for just about anything. i got the fittings to put the oil pressure gauge into the side of my block last week. i'm sure they have the water temp fitting.:)

    Hey Rick I took a trip to Auto Zone and they told me that they didn't make such a fitting:rolleyes: Then went next door to O'Reilly's and guess what they said the same thing, then out of the corner of my eye I found that little plastic bage that you spoke of.........Thanks Man

    Don has a point!

    Your gauges look great but they look to be in the same spot mine are in and I have to look around the steering wheel to see them.

    Now for me that's not to big of a deal because my car is now only drag and I also have warning lights on my tach (shift, low oil and high water temp) but it's still not the best place to have them.
    Gauges should be located so all you have to do is just move your eyes to see them if you can then that's great but while you drive if have to move your body (head) you could be taking your eyes off the road longer then you would want.
    Just a idea.
