Need your help Guys/gals, I have found a two door 74/75 Maverick, six cylinder and has 78,000 miles. It has a brown exterior, and tan interior, bench seats, the son-in-law say's the owner is 82 years old and they want $600.00. The body has no rust I can see, the body pieces behind the trunk have been repainted, has usual amount of small dings. I have not driven it yet, but he say's it was surging, and put a bottle of carb cleaner in it and helped a little, probably would need the carb rebuilt? Anyway what do you guys/gals think? Marty:clap:

    Marty,

If you truely want it, it doesn't matter how much it costs does it?

If you were in the buying and selling bidniz it would make a difference.

I'm not trying to sound like a know-it-all, but anything is worth ONLY what someone is willing to pay for it, right?

To me, $2,500 was a fair price for me to pay for a nice rolling chassis - no motor.

Personally, I hope you get it and make it a keeper. The popularity of Mavericks and Comets are definetly on the rise.

Good luck, and show us some new pics of your new Mav! :bananaman

    $600.00

If you can spare it, nail that car!
These cars of ours are really coming into their own and you won't be able to find one for that money much longer.

Go for it. With a price like that you can spend your $ on
fixing it up! Don't let it slip away.

That's kind of like the psychology I use when I ask myself whether or not I need another Maverick. It all makes sense to me. :D

    Go for it!
