My car actually started and moved under it's own power today. Oil level was way high so i drained a quart or so out. The viscosity was way low. almost like water. i smelled it and it'[s full of gas That's no fun as it was new synthetic oil and filter less than 5o miles ago (last july).

I am off to the store to get another oil change. if that goes ok, it's off to the windshield shop to get the window put back in.
then the interior and off to Joplin in about 3 weeks. wish me luck.

AT LEAST THE GAS WILL CLEAN UP THE INSIDE OF THE ENGINE.

Maybe i should drain the oil and wash the engine out with water... just to get all the gas out. oh wait, there was a thread aboput that. most folks said "DON"T DO THAT" LOLOL

Bob; maybe check the floats on the carb. Might be leaking into the engine.

Does it have a mechanical fuel pump? How much has it been run since the oil change?

yes i did have carb problems. The power valve was leaking by badly. I had 2 gaskets on it. That's fixed but during that time, I pumped a lot of gas through it and through to the cylinders.

I always start out with regular oil. Then after a few weeks of running and all is well, I change over to the synthetic. I found out the hard way too.:)
