I just tried to install my new upper control arm shafts from Laurel Mountain and they don't fit. The stock Maverick shafts and Mustangs, from what I've read, have a 4 3/4" spacing. Laurel Mountain says they are all 4 5/8". They said all of theirs are 4 5/8". If I return them I'm out my shipping money. Which one is it?

PS. I would just wing it if I hadn't already drilled for the Shelby Mod.

They sent you 65-66 uppers. You need the 67-70 upper control arms which are the same as the Maverick. The 65-66 arms are shorter in length and have a different spacing so that you don't put them in the wrong applications.

The 64-66 are a lot shorter. I believe they are only 3 1/2" spacing. Mine are only 1/8" different. But it does make a difference.

Okay, do some research, but all the posts I have seen here say that 71-73 Mustang front suspensions are the right ones for our cars.

I did a lot of research before ordering them. I just wondered why Laurel Mountain was selling the wrong parts.

I bought ones from Laurel Mnt. for a "73 Stang and they fit perfect on my '73 Mav. I had read on here some years ago as to wich ones to buy. Buy the ones for a 73 stang no problems. What is their return/exchange policy?

They will return them for store credit. But I would be out my initial shipping cost and the return shipping cost.
