I have a Holly carb I picked up years ago and no nothing about. Have not heard back from Holly on it either. It is one of the few I have seen with a Quadrajet pattern also. And also a double pumper. Don't have a clue about it. Seems a bit different though. The horn numbers read: List-6774 0714 Anyone?
http://www.holley.com/ http://www.carburetion.com/carbinf.htm http://tgsperformance.com/holley.htm Here's a few I found...not sure if they will help.
Been to the first 2 .....but not the 3rd before. I also found on the site it is a 650 cfm. I'm just wondering what it could possibly be off of. Holley did do some of these for Shelby's. And the small primaries / large secondaries are how they set them up. Don't want to give away something that may be worth somthing......Thanks again Ray.
I get model 4165/4175. GM spread bore. Found some references to marine applications. http://holdenpaedia.oldholden.com/Holley_Information_Table1_2 10th down on the list 650 cfm.
its a quadra jet replacment carb (GM) They came in 650 and 800 cfm versions the list number on it is no longer used thats why you cant find alot of info on it it has the old style secondary linkage also indicating pre mid 80's The one you have has (had) the transfer tube it's a 650 cfm I converted one of these to dual feed bowls and some other mods and it was a good street carb.
Is it worth anything? It may not be bad for gas milage with the smaller primaries....if we could keep our foot out of the gas.......yeah, like that will happen.
Not really its one of the least desirable double pumpers now days.almost every aftermarket intake is a square bore.the advantage would be fuel milage over a standard DP.I liked the one i had built up it was almost violent when the secondarys were opened
It would be nice on something that could move some air like a 396 big block. Those big secondaries with a double pumper need some serious air flow to make use of that fuel. I certainly wouldnt try it on a street 302.
650 cfm is 650 cfm doesn't matter if you have spread bore or square bore. I'm running a 650 on my street boss with no problems.
And that would be bad because??????.................... Thanks Joe. Makes me possibly want to keep it now. I have heard that these were used on the small block Shelby Mustangs. Dont know how true that is or how to verify it. Guess its one of the carbs I'l hang on to. Trying to clean out the garage.
True, but if it were an OEM type application, I would rather share it with a member here than an unknown person.
I would think that if it were a mild Big Block. But the CFM some of our small block stokers are pushing would make me reconsider. I have a 800 CFM Holley DP on mine now. I know it is too much, but I had expectations of dropping my Cleveland CCH 4V into my Mav. I may need to sell that as well (the Cleveland). This carb may be worth rebuilding for a street /strip motor for my current setup.
