GT Hood Scoop Pictures after the information

I would like some information on the the GT Hood scoop. The distance from the back of the hood. Length, width and height would be greatly appreciated. Also, is there a way to put some kind of grill on the open portion, so it looks like it is functional. Thanks for any information.

Thanks for those dimensions. Any idea how far from the back of the hood to where it sits right on the hood?

Just measured and it is exactly 2" from the back of the hood.

Thanks for all the help. I am purchasing the GT hood scoop this week from eBay and wanted to get all the measurements before I get it and go and try to figure it out with out the instruction manual, like I always do. Do you make a cardboard template first, so that you know where to drill your holes and to get the thing straight on the hood? Or is there another trick that I dont know about?

I made a template, taped it to the hood measuring back from both sides and sides to body lines to make sure template was square, then drilled out the holes, then turned the hood over and reamed out where I didn't have it right and was too close to the bracing to get the nuts on. I should have just guessed it would have been as good.

I honestly would not drill the hood until the scoop gets there. Every custom scoop with preinstalled mounting studs, which this essentially is, that I have dealt with has had the studs in different places from one scoop to the next. Unless they are using a computer controlled machine, there is always going to be some variances in the placement of the studs, it's human nature.

Rather then start a new post, I decided to post here with pictures of the hood scoop that I bought.
