You know I always knew what every car was back in the day. I could even tell if a cop car was behind me at nite by the way the headlights were on the Plymouth's they drove but now I have a have a hard time with some of the cars from over seas. They all seem to look the same. Anyway I had a girl friend in 1974 who had a white Vaga GT. It was a nice little car.

    Hey AZ,

That is why my personlized plate is "NO MAVRK" ... it is not a slam on Mavs, just a great conversation starter...
So many folks at cruises would walk up and say "Hey, nice Maverick", it just got easier to tell them to go look at the plate.
Then after a chuckle, it just seemed easier to tell them how wrong they were .... :dancing:

    Grabber Joe,

I am with you on knowing all the models of 70s cars back in the day ... we only had a half dozen brands to contend with.
I used to be able to pick out cop cars by the lights, too. Who else would drive a Dodge Diplomat back then... :D .
So many new cars now look like a half-used bar of soap.

Wow and i thought i was the only one who refers to most new cars as used bars of soap. I have called them that for years and i also used to know all the cars at first sight but the problem now is for the most part i have no use for any of the new cars and could care less who makes them. The best part for me is the fact that my 11 year old daughter now has started to call the new cars used bars of soap too, man do i love that!!!!!!!:thumbs2::drive:
