I was going to post an update on Tracy, but he did a much better job of telling the story!  (I've been keeping in touch with him occasionally).

Hmmm. Tracy: Do you think you could break away from the printers long enough to go to FFW in Houston on Saturday? (I was considering going to Houston, maybe).;)

    All,

Thanks for the encouraging posts! I really DO appreciate it!

I am currently working on my next book (text complete, pictures need to be added) entitled "Masking Techniques for Powder Coating: The Definitive Works"

I know it sounds lofty, but it is (currently) 168 pages and has tons of color illustrations showing all kinds of masking techniques. Although it sounds weird, masking in the powder coating world is WAY different than for paint since there is a high-temperature element involved (and re-cure issues, etc).

The book will retail for $39.95 and, while more expensive than the first book, will be the ONLY of its kind on the market. No other author has written a book for this specific subject. It wil cover not only mundane masking issues such as outside (spindles) and inside (bearing races), but also multi-color masking (flames), Fades and computer-controlled high-temp masking tape cutting (like vinyl cutting, but with high-temp tape) for specialized logos, etc. The two companies that are marketing my current book are on-board for 3,000 copies when its published so I'm encouraged by that! :bananaman

Again, I'm in-between purchase orders right now, so its sink-or-swim time. I am paid-up with my creditors, but waiting to see more purchase orders where I can actually keep the money instead of paying other people. For a while, things got so bad that I had to sell my BDS 6-71 blower off my Mav buildup (zero miles on it) for about 95% of the purchase price, but will be getting another real soon if things work out.

For all of you that helped my son and myself through our crisis, just remember: No good deed goes unpunished; expect payback for your help in multitudes! And sirs, I mean that. Thanks.

DAB; I'll be at FFW with Brandon if you'd like to meet up! I know he want's to see Uncle Doug again and his "kewl" Grabber! Call me bud! Same goes for Rick and anyone else that can make it!

Again, my most sincere thanks for everyone,
    Pegasus

That's just a great story, I'd like to buy the book and a powdercoating kit...I was looking at the kits Eastwood have...can you recommend one?
    Thx Rick
