Ok I have a problem with my blinkers they all work fine but blink fast and the indicators dont work on the insturment panel dont work could this be why?
probably... because the insturment pannel is not working with the directional mabey to much juice is going to the directionals
Yep when in doubt check the grounds. Dont try to figure out how its feeding back you'll go insane. Jsut make sure the grounds are good.
I agree with the above and will add these suggestions to check also. The fast blinking could be something as simple as a heavy duty flasher also. If you have an extra flasher, swap it out and see if the lights slow down. I would also check the bulbs in the dash cluster to see if they're blown. While the cluster is out to check the bulbs, check the harness connections for corrosion. The connections can be cleaned with a pencil eraser. Hope this helps, -Scott H.
Forgot about the cluster bulbs. I had more blown than working. Replaced all with extended life 194's and fixed the connector to the cluster. Had 2 or 3 contacts that were flattened.
My blinkers only work if the brakes are NOT engaged, how handy. If I'm at a light then the blinker light on the dash just stays lit, when I pull away the light blinks v e r y slowly or just goes out. They don't work when I'm stopped, good thing I no longer have to get it inspected.
Might check that the sockets are seated well in the light bucket. I left mine sitting in the trunk just to check and make sure that it worked correctly and mine wouldn't blink, put it in the housing like it should and it blinks now.
Thanks Scott that was it it was the easiest and I had a flasher tried it when I got home and it they worked just for the sake of electrical gremlins swaped the flashers back and fast again to make shure and they were fast again now onto the hazards not working BTW flasher didnt fix them they just dont work period.:16suspect
