I felt bad when I read the eplicable "Hi Mike no time for us" from the form guys. .. jk lol anyway Got the car fully apart and ready to go to soda blasting. I'm working out the details rite now for the chassis. I think I"m just going to do a full perfab "you fit and weld" Rolling Chassis from "Chassisworks" out of Sacramento CA. I'm still not sure what stroker kit to buy but I have been talking to Jay Bittle about a 552cu.in and that looks like what we are going to do.If anyone wants to put in their 2cents worth about STRUT vs A-ARM that would be apreciated. I'll post some pics too. So till next time ( I wont let it be so long) Take Care all ... Happy Motoring

i dont know about the suspension, but i do know that you will spend way to much with jba. you need to talk to greg at total performance in santee or greg scott racing engines (619) 443-4608. those shops are race engine shops. jba is more of a barny bolt on shop, that allows jay to play with his race cars.

lol I totally agree with you but , I've known Jay for 35 years or so . We go back to the Texas days. In the summers Jay worked at the same place as me, my neighbor owned Mr. C auto parts. and so I use that to keep him simi in line. I've meet Greg and they seem to be a good shop and I've heard good thing about thembut my 1st couple of talks with them they were a little stand offish. Maybe because I do a lot of my own motor work IDK. Long time ago the heads guy there was aanother old friend from Texas " Johhny B" but no longer works at performance. Anyway Thanks for the heads up.

also for the suspension question you might want to go talk with mike at bullet fabrication. hes just a few driveways down from total performance.

Really, the decision of which type of suspension to use depends on the intended use. Are you drag racing or road racing? I assume drag with a 552 BBF. If that is the case, the strut suspension is lighter, easy to work with and works great for straight line driving. If you are going corner carving, the double a-arm suspension has better camber gain and works better for cornering. if you really want to get an ear full, ask that question on corner-carvers.com.

Thanks Jay, Yes it will be drag raced some but it is going to have a license plate and only a 10:1 CR so it will run on pump gas for street use .The car will have more street use then racing use but with a lot of weight (BBF) on the front end and the night time "WTH" was that pot hole I'm concerned with struts. IDK........

    Mike
