I picked up a used set of American Racing Outlaw II wheels. Have a couple of questions maybe someone can answer.

    1. The clear coat is mostly gone. Any good products for removing the remaining old clear coat and cleaning the aluminum?

    2. Recommend a good clear coat for the cleaned wheels?

    3. Lug nuts on my '72 Maverick 5-lugs are 1/2X20, right?

    Thanks.

Eastwood sells a wheel restoration kit. I think I made a thread about it somewhere on here. Lots and lots of work....but they look great.

Thanks, Craig. I'll look for it. Another job ... Been at this for a year. Probably got one more year to go.

I'll check ebay for the centers. $12.50 each on Summit. Also plan to order the acorn lug nuts. Can anyone confirm the thread size for '72 Mav 5-lug? Thanks.

I like those. The red will go well with the red pin stripes (someday) on the Sprint. Put a bid on them. Thanks. Jim
