I am here to learn and buy a maverick grabber. My son's name is Maverick so I thought it would be appropriate for him to get one for his first car. He is a great kid with a 4.0 grade average. I have been looking in the craigslist but have never bought anything from there. Any advice would be appreciated.
Welcome to the board. Make sure any car that you buy doesn't leak from the cowls. That is the vents in front of the window. Also make sure the floor boards are not rusted out. Pay a little more for a rust free Maverick and you'll be $$$ ahead in the long run.
Welcome aboard! Awesome name for a kid! I shoulda done that. I wonder if my 27 year old would object to getting his name changed now?
The last time I was in Enid, there was a Grabber in a fenced in area. I can't explain exactly where since I don't know Enid all that well, but it seems like it was on Van Buren on the north side. I was on my way to Goltry. I agree with Ray - that's a cool name! Unrelated, I once got bit by a dog named Maverick while looking at a Maverick for sale.
You guys are too funny!! Thanks for the welcoming. I'll drive north on van buren tonight and see if I can find it. How long ago was this? I kinda know what I'm looking for now. My other two sons are named Rowdy and Gunner. There hasn't been any cars made with those names has there?
My name is Ron i'am a die hard ford guy i have liked the mavericks since they came out in 70 and just found this forum, so a big hello to everyone. Ron
I was taking a shortcut when I saw it (to get to Goltry). It was on the east side of the road. This was probably 1-2 years ago. It was a '73 Grabber if I remember right.
Maverick Welcome ,just keep looking and asking and one will show up with your sons name on it ,lol Jimmy
