More than likely.....yes. Your cowl is probably full of them as well.

If your cowl is full of leaves and such and been exposed to the elements, more then likely youre going to have a lot of the forbidden R word...so be prepared...hopefully you wont see any.

My car sat for years under trees, outdoors, before I bought it. If yours has experienced any similar circumstances, prepare to find loose leaves:

    1) Behind the dashboard itself
    2) Crowding the heater box floor prior to the dampers
    3) Sitting loose everywhere in the cowl, especially around the air intake hole

Be warned; with the leaves comes requisite moisture, which means the potential for corrosion, compost, and all kinds of other guck. The only real way to attack it is what I am doing right now - removing and competely restoring my heater box. At a minimum, open the box and blow it out, and get some high pressure air up under the dash. Good luck.

    Chris

PS - mine is also a Texas car!! They LOVE leaves......

I dropped my heater box and drivers vent and used compressed air to blow out the leafs. After getting a bag full I thought I got them all until I drove around the block. I had leafs blowing around inside the car for about a week.

When I saw "COW Grabber" I thought maybe you had painted your car white with big black spots...

When I took apart what was to become my current heater/AC box to rebuild it during my AC install project, I found quite a bit of leaves and general debris in there. Not to mention a rodent's nest.
