Sorry, i'm just tired of seeing it so i'm gonna get it off my chest.......Why would you post pictures of your Jeep,Cheby or anything other then a Ford Maverick or Mercury Comet in your signature??

Would I go on a Corvette website and post pictures of my Comet....NO, I would not!!!

I'm sure everyone is proud of there vehicles but this website is for you to show your pride in the Ford Maverick or Mercury Comet not your Jeep or Cheby or any other brand of car.....

If you have an interest in other things and want to post about them I believe that is why Stefan created the " OFF TOPIC " forum!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm just tired of reading a topic and bumping into a picture of somebody's piece of sh#t cheby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I feel much better now!!:D

I said pictures, not words.....I have described my family of FORD vehicles (like alot of people do on this and other FORD related boards) in my signature and that's where they stay, I don't eat up bandwidth with pictures of my dad's old Jeep or my uncles old Nova!! Like John Stossle (sp) says....."GIVE ME A BREAK"

PS, I wasn't just referring to one person.

PPS, I am very proud of my Honda but I don't post pictures of it here......

Obviously CometGT1974 is correct in pointing out that this is a Maverick board and that it should be for posting Maverick pictures. Having said that, I don't mind that I see the odd non-Mav vehicle posted here too. They usually don't interest me, but it doesn't happen that much that I get my shorts briefs in knots about it. It's just my opinion, but I think that it would be extreme to insist on a toatl ban on non-Maverick pics. Just my opinion. John B.

I guess I'm getting old. It doesn't bother me to see pics of non Mavericks/Comets. Just as long as they don't take up half the page. :scratchass:

    Just IMO
I have broad band so extra pics make no problem for me. However if I had dial up then yes extra non mav pics would be a waste. The extra load etc..... Now I would like to add if you are a ford junky Elliot why do you own a chevy not to mention a jeep??? Joke.

Before this gets out of hand, I dont mind seeing other cars in member's signatures as I am an automotive enthusiast. If you want to talk about other cars, there is the off topic section that can be used for this. If you do not want to see other people's signatures, you can turn this option off in your User CP

I guess not everyone is a total ford/merc nut like some of us. if i still had my 68 gto i'd list it but not post a pic. but thats just me. i have dial up(yes i'm still stone aged) it doesn't take all that long to down load pics off this site. we seem to have a good thing in this site, for the most part everyone seems to get along. should we not keep it that way. how about posting a poll and see how many members agree or disagree and go from there.(y)

I agree, pics of non CoMav pics should not be included in every post. The off topic is great for that. That does not mean I dont enjoy seeing them. Heck, I have a bunch of cars that ya'all dont even know about. But that is for another place and time. One thing we might think about is the average internet surfer out there, with pics of off topic cars included in a post in part takes away from the theme here. If I sound inpolitically correct here, so be it.
