I got the dash out of my maverick today, any suggestions for where I should cut some of the harnesses that won't fit through the holes in the body/frame?

You don't have to cut any of the harness to remove it. It was installed with the body completed. Just unplug everything and it will come out. I've done it to a bunch of them.

    now......hear me out....

I love how this thread has gotten something to the tune of 75 views, but only one of you posted? I could go for some encouragement, put-downs, whatever. Let the public speak!

    Hey XP,

'Didn't realize you were looking for encouragement. I thought it was more of a "I'm up to this point and need information" type thread.

I couldn't answer the question about the harness and Mavaholic had already answered that for you (and me :D).

We know what it takes to get these boogers to this point - it's no small feat.

Sometimes I wish (we all) would update our progress in ONE thread. That way, it's easier for us to see what the last mile-stone was.

Please DO keep up the good work. We're all behind you, buddy! (y)

the floors are in GREAT shape as far as I'm concerned..you've got a great start. I would be smilin if I found a maverick with floors like that..especially considering how old they are

Got a little further today, I do not want to ever remove a half-full gas tank again.

    Sounds like there's a story here. :D

At least you're able to post about your progress! - and I suppose one has to convince one's self that removing a less-than-empty gas tank is a PITA. 'Did it once - and only once.

Hopefully I won't have to remove mine again but I had a drain put in it when I had the tank boiled out ...

Genius! I may do the same. I suppose people could steal my gas if I did that, but seriously, who's going to think a V8 has gas in it these days anyways?
