I'm new from Kennewick, WA and here's my story........ So I have a friend that needed to get rid of a Grabber and I have been interested in owning one for a while so we struck a deal. What it boils down to is he had it stored at another friends and it had to be gone so it was given to me. It's an automatic with column shift and had bucket seats but there is a bench in there now. Somebody has already converted it to discs but I think I may go Mustang 2 up front. It came with a Comet tail panel that he wanted to replace the original with but I don't see myself using it. I need to rip into it and see how bad the rust is, the floor pans have some as do the lower rear quarters, should all be easily fixed. She's rough but here she is in all her glory!
Welcome to the board. Good luck with the car. Check to see if the floors are bad because of rusty cowls by pouring water into the cowl vents. If they leak it could be a major job. Do a search here for cowl repair. Hopefully it was just a leaky window gasket.
Wasnt this the car that was wrecked? Looks like a new fender was put on.. Good luck with the project im suprised he couldnt sell it quickly.
It was hit on the drivers side front. The subframe doesn't look like it buckled but the inner fender took a beating. There was a replacement for it with the car. As far as selling it goes, he is in Seattle and the car is in Kennewick so it would have been a little work to pull it off so I guess he chose to take the easy way out. I had joked with him that he should give it to me and a month or so later here we are.
welcome from barry in douglasville ga the maverick grabber looks like it will make a good car.:Handshake
Looks like it has it's own private garage, too. Great looking project, and the price was right, too. Good luck with it. Jim
Thanks for the warm welcome everybody! It does and it's all settled in nice and comfy. It takes up way less space than my GTO did and it's no comparison to the F250 that just got the boot.
