What is the general consensus on this kit. Good Bad or indifferent? Thinking about it for my car. Please let me know what you think.
They've got a great rating but it's way above my head. It says professional installation only....no instructions included.... so that would leav me out. Also says 25 pieces. Looks like a lot more pieces in the picture to me. Good luck. Somebody into the turbos will pop up I'm sure.
its definitly not a bolt on kit. i really doubt that the headers will clear the shock towers. it doesnt have any way of attaching to a carb. i suspect its geared towards fuel injection. then it has some stuff that you probly dont need like the hose dress up kit and the gages.
my shock towers are notched so I'm not really worried about that. I agree there is nothing there to mount to the carb. There looks to be a lot more than 25 pieces in the picture.
I sent the seller a message asking for the brand name of the turbo's. Is there any other questions I should be asking. I was thinking of asking about the carb pieces.
doesnt matter if your shock towers are notched, the exhaust manifolds/headers will exit lower than the notch. notching the towers only helps with changing the plugs. my brother and i have turbo'ed two cars (neither were mavericks) and needless to say if you dont have any fabrication skills and/or alot of mechincal ability, a kit like that wouldnt be something you would wanna tackle yourself
Thanks I thought that the notch would help. I have friend that are very talented in fabricating but this is something I wanted to tackle, maybe not. Thank you for the imput.
