Hi everyone. :tiphat: I'm new here and very excited to join the club! I just purchased my first Maverick - 1970, 6cylinder 250, c4 maverick w/ grabber hood. She is really beautiful and a project for sure. Here are some pics...with a final picture of my father's 69 cougar just for kicks. True ford fans.

Welcome to the Madness of Old Cars!!

I see you folks also like the '69 Cougars. So do I. I don't recognize your father's car. Is he a member of the Sunshine State Cougar Club? If not, consider joining us. Our annual meeting is coming up at the Daytona Spring show March 26-28. We should have 30-40 Cougars there.

    Thank you gentleman.

I will be installing new headlights today. I'm going for a tuff look with the car, so I think the black ones that I bought will work great. I just repainted the interior and plan to get new headliner soon, but i think I should get a new/rebuilt carb first ! Otherwise I'm not going to be going anywhere in it! This car is going to be a daily driver, so I want to keep the 6 in it for awhile just to keep better gas mileage, with a little bit of power. Oh, and found a new place to buy maverick parts - http://www.showcars-bodyparts.com/maverick.html - here you go just in case you didn't know before. Seem pretty cheap. That is my short story on the car and some plans just to let you know where I'm at with it. Please let me know of any suggestions! I'm always open to learning and suggestions! :pub:

I know he just became a member of a Cougar club, but not sure which one...I will tell him about it and the meet in Daytona :yup:. He hasn't taken it to any shows yet. Another show show you may want to go to is this saturday in Eustis for Washington's day. It is around 250 cars. Starts at 4pm-9. It should be a great time. Right on main street.

Ours is the only exclusive Cougar club in the state, so I feel sure he joined the Sunshine State Cougar Club. Several members attend the Eustis cruise. I'm told it is a fun affair. I seem to always have a conflict, because I work on Saturdays. Tell him that I will catch up with him at Daytona.

    Good luck with your car.
