Got to lookin at the water pump pulley off the early 90s crown vics... it is a 6 rib pulley set up but has two belts without a tensioner instead of 1 belt system like the mustangs... this means it is a ribbed water pump pulley not smooth... does anyone know if this will line up with a early 302 pulley set up but with 6 rib alternator and crank pulleys?

I would think so if the waterpump necks are the same length...and/or spacers...:yup:

I know a lot of guys run the 86 crown vic pulley setup on these old engines...if its the same as the 86 then it'll work(y)

if it had different spacing than the reverse rotation water pump, just grab the crank pully and brackets for the accessories that you need.

just got back from the upullit and it looks like the crown vic pulley is too stubby and would line up too far forward to work with the original alternator mounting location

    however...

one pulley i found looks promising

ill let everyone know once i try it out
