    1964 Comet
I would like to introduce myself here, I just purchased my first 1964 Mercury Comet yesterday! I picked it up outside Chicago, its a roller but right around what I was looking for. I plan on making a pro touring car out of it, most likely a 331 storker with a small turbo and a five speed! Turbos are like crack to me , every vehicle I own has one (06 superduty, 00 TT Mustang, 91 mustang notchback single turbo).

Im sure I will be learning alot here and elsewhere on the internet. I do already have my first question though, and any help would be great!

My car didn't come with the chrome side moldings, where can I get them from? I looked at autokrafters and googled but can't find anything. If someone could help that would be great!

    Thanks, Again!

    Karl

Welcome to the board. Ebay is probably your best bet. Most on here have Comets in the 70's, based on the Maverick platform. There is a subsection for the 60's Comets. You might want to post a message there. Good luck.:Welcome:

    Welcome

Welcome from Northeast Illinois. If none of the above bear any fruit. If possible, Ford at Carslisle will be coming up soon or Columbus Spring Swap coming up April 2&3. as a last resort. :Welcome:

I've got the Caliente trim off of my 64. My car is a Cyclone and one of the past owners put the trim on it. Needless to say the first thing I did was take it off. Why don't you fill the holes and make the sides smooth like a Cyclone?
