LOL Thats what a lot of people say but I have had good luck with them. They are here in Phoenix. They built my trans and a 4000 stall converter for me and its been in my race car for 2 years. The converter stalls to 3900 on the trans brake and my 60 foot times are always with in .01 . :bananaman

Back to story,,, I`m thinking on first conv. you bent flex and or broke pump. I would take tranny an have it looked at for pump damage. Count your threads on input shaft. B&M, tci, are good conv, ask your local guys an tranny shop what is out there. Good luck

There is a drain plug on the converter, if you do not have it lined up with the flex plate slot for it, then you will not be able to turn the engine over. The plug hits the flexplate and locks everything. Dont ask me how I know this. Just a thought for you to look at.

So I decided to take the motor out so I can attach the transmission and put the whole thing back in. Since I have the motor out now, i decided to put the headers. I'll be working on that for a minute since i bought the hedman 88300, you probably say they won't fit, but i'm almost there. Lots of metal shaving, we'll see.

On the transmission, I've replaced the flywheel, everything else seems fine. I still have the stock converter, but since I have the tranny down I don't want to take the risk so and I'm having thoughts about replacing it, I didn't think they'd ever go bad until i read some of the postings here. I'm looking at edge racing converters.

Turn the engine a least 2 full turns to go through the complete cycle. Turning it a half turn won't tell you nothing

Yeap, motor turns all the way, did 3 or 4 turns. No issues, the problem was the converter, my friend and I put it on and I don't think it seated right, the drain plug may have been out of place. Honestly, i'm glad the motor is out so I can put my headers in, the 351w is a monster

i dont know about the drain plug stopping it, i had my converter on and the car turned over. The converter was probably not seated.
