After over a year of searching, holding out, and most importantly, saving money, I've joined the ranks of Maverick owners.

It's an early 70 model, with ignition on the dashboard. Black interior, three speed on the tree, front bench seat, and Anti Establish Mint green paint. Everything is original, with 75,000 miles on the odometer. Runs and drives great, though the brakes are a bit hairy.

I bought it from a real decent guy who picked it up from the estate of the original owner. We'll just say it was a one owner car, since it wasn't registered in between.

There isn't any rust, the floor pans and trunk are clean enough to eat off. The car lived in Washington for its entire life, and after spending a week in Portland visiting followed me home to Wisconsin.

At this point I'm not sure what my plans are, though a V8, spoiler, hood, and buckets seem likely.

Wow nice lookin car. And your right a V8 and buckets would definetly suit that car. and unless your going for a nostalgia feel I bet it'd be way more fun if you changed it over to a floor shifter.
