Hello folks ,has anyone seen Mike around ,i havent seen him on here in 6- 8 days, its not like him not to be on here that long . I know he was suppose to be racing last weekend and i havent seen hide nor hair of him to see how he made out.
I am here Jimmy. I have been busy with those last minute things, didnt get to go last weekend it was a season opener and not how I wanted to debut the car and you dont get many runs when the pro nostalga and jets are there but am heading out this Saturday. Got all the bugs worked out and ready to put it through the paces. To tell the truth I am a little scared as the car seems to be wicked fast, just driving on the street doing about 40 in second I step on it and the tires break loose, wind it up to 6,500 and shift and the next thing you know you are doing over 100. With my other Mav I got it into 12.80s and this new car makes the other Mav seem like a snail I did the desktop dyno thing on the engine with my cam and head flow specs and it came out to 460 hp at 6,000rpm and 432 torque at 5,000rpm at flywheel, I know these things arent the most accurate but it was interesting to see. Will post times, good bad or ugly after this weekend
No its in the Blue 72 that is my avatar, Ricks car turned out to be a little more work than I cared to take on, but my car has a few of his parts on it.
Hey Mike im glad your ok ,i was a little worried you did a 9.90 and scared yourself speechlessGood luck this weekend and keep it in your lane.Im also going racing again this Sat and Sun lets hope this weekend i dont go faster than my dial in and knock myself out in the first round again, lol.Jimmy
Hey Mike. I know a little bit of history on Ricks Mav. Raced with a few people in the late 80's. And the Mav used to take it to them pretty good as well as a sbc 400 Grimlin.
