    What are the original specs for the amount of freon our cars are supposed to have? Im guessing around 1.5 pounds anyone know for sure what the factory calls for? Factory air not dealer installed

    I went to a junkyard to find out, from the eng compartment label. Then I checked my Haynes manual. Tada!

    Hope that helps. Mine is 3.12 lbs. I'm using R12a, not R134. R134 uses less but needs more pressure from the compressor.
