We own a 1973 maverick thats called '' The Mav'' My brother originally bought the car and we have worked on it ever since. Some of you from michigan may have seen it. We have been down to the maverick comet club international twice in the past. The car is posted on a couple of their sites. We took second place for super modified because it has a custom hole in the hood and a hood scoop. The car that took first was strickly strip and never sees any driving so there you go with that. This car has a 351 windsor that gos like hell rebuilt about 5000 mi ago and is driven all the time to cruises and burnout contests in the area. Recently it took the best burnout and the best in show in the brown city 2009 burnout contest. I will post a pic asap. This car is on Woodward cruise videos and Gratiot videos right here in the motor city. We go through at least one set of p27560r15s every year. Its lots of fun and people love the car and the crystal blue paint job. Hope you like it. Les Miller.
Welcome Les. My Maverick is also known as "THE MAV" and I have that on my Michigan vanity plate. It is a 351W bored and stroked to 421 cu. in. and has been to every Woodward Dream Cruise. It is Medium Yellow Gold so it is hard to miss. I live in Redford, so if you are ever down in this area, give me a shout. Lee "THE MAV" Richart
Wow, I wondered if this was a relative of Lees' or something...??... Anyways, welcome from north of the river, in Ontario!!
